Before you Order :


Ordering Patches from the Gypsy is a new experience for most people. Were very different from your average retailer. This page will give you a heads up as to what you need to do to place an order, What you can expect from the Gypsy and our terms and conditions.

Order List:
 Were a small shop with limited production capacity. We receive many more orders than we can
make each month. New orders are placed on the list until they are ready for the production schedule. This allows us to prep and Group orders for the most efficient production. 
 Our Production schedule is made using the following criteria.
 1. Do we have the patch setup on file.
 2. Do we have a complete order.
 3. Do we have payment.
 4. Is the contact information up to date. 

Technique
The work we do is Intensely detailed and requires many hours of hand labor by a skilled craftsman. Each patch is Individually hand made. Our production methods  are Old world and rely on reactions between the dyes and materials over time to produce the Vintage product were known for. There is a hit & miss aspect to this kind of work. Sometimes the patches don't turn out right and we have to start over.  This can cause  delays in the production schedule.  We are very aware of the need to deliver orders quickly however the quality of the patch  always  takes priority. 

Our Products:
 We post pictures of Name Tags and Squadron patches on the website and sometimes in email. The photo's are examples of the Patches we  produce.  With Hand made items, each is unique and although close, never an exact copy.
 
 Ordering:
 Call or Email us. If its a small order we can take it on the spot. If Its a large order We can provide excel spreadsheets and pictures to make things easier.Please follow up a phone order with an email.
This will allow us to doublecheck spelling and qtys.

 Payment:
   The Gypsy requires Full Payment before we start work on your order.( For new Patch Setups a Deposit is sufficient until we get the tooling produced)
We accept all major credit cards, Paypal and Checks.  We will complete your order as quickly as possible.  It can take up to 30 days to hand finish a large order.  
 
Changes and
Cancellations:
  Feel Free to add to, Change the spelling, Modify or cancel your order -right up to the time we  start work on your patches. After we begin work you are obligated to pay for the order.

: If you need to change an order after we start work on it ; (At our option)We will prorate the labor and materials for items not  completed.

Exchanges and Returns:
 Custom work and name tags can not  be returned or exchanged.
In stock items ordered from the web site Can be exchanged for merchandise or store credit within 30 days of shipping provided the patch is not sewn, creased or damaged. You will be responsible for shipping costs.

If there is a problem with your order  please contact us within 45 days of our shipping it and we will do our best to make it right.

 Alteration shop accidents - We've  provided  a whole page of  tips,  pictures and info to help you find a proper flight Jacket mechanic. The Gypsy is not responsible for errors made at the sewing table. We will try to expedite orders from shops that wish to replace a patch for you. Masking tape will destroy your patch -don't let anyone tape a patch in place on your jacket.

New Patch Setups:
 We need:
 Detailed graphic of the patch you want made.
 Minimum order of 10 of the new patch.
 One time setup cost of $75.  ($50 for tags and small patches)
 Deposit when we start the artwork for your new patch.

 We do a drawing of the patch and email it to you for approval or change. When the drawing is approved we order the tooling. Gypsy will make one prototype and email a photo for approval - The  colors can be changed  but the shape, size and design  are fixed.
   Please have your color choices and ideals hashed out and firmed up when you contact us. Prototype work is expensive and time consuming. We price setups for 3 minor color changes on a single prototype. If needed a 2nd  will be produced  to get the colors locked in.  Gypsy will do his best to get you what you need However we have to charge for the work If additional prototypes are desired.  Prototype work is billed at the cost of one patch and color changes are $15. per change.
 


 Name tags and shoulder patch set ups run under 50 dollars ( case by case).
